Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer
Overview
This role is HYBRID out of our Irving, TX. tech hub
Foot Locker, Inc. is seeking a hands‑on engineering leader with deep technical expertise to drive innovation in our Product and Content product team. In this role, you’ll lead and mentor a dedicated group of engineers while actively contributing to the codebase—breaking ground on complex features, removing technical blockers, and setting best practices. You’ll be pivotal in delivering scalable solutions that power seamless checkout experiences across web and mobile, ensuring performance, reliability, and security at every step.
Your leadership will directly influence customer satisfaction and revenue growth as you guide the team toward delivering world‑class digital commerce experiences.
- Lead development efforts in building a robust Product and Content platform to support online browsing and shopping capabilities
- Collaborate with product management and design to refine concepts, estimate work, and prioritize features.
- Work with multiple teams to solve business problems while continue to automate the development and release processes.
- Work across other technical teams to outline future system needs requirements, handle incident response and communication to ensure we meet business and engineering goals.
- Manage and develop team members via code reviews, mentoring, and technical design sessions.
- Implement a test‑driven development approach to deliver software capabilities.
- Stay current with industry trends to identify opportunities for new products and platform improvements
- Maintain robust testing suites and deployment processes
- Continuously improve engineering tools, workflows, and developer experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems or closely related field and 5 years of related work experience.
- Experience developing and maintaining critical real‑time serving systems in an environment where priorities are frequently shifting.
- Proven ability to use monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues
- Experience leading and growing people both technically and professionally.
- Great product sense combined with strong technical communication skills.
- Worked in the high scale environment supporting browse, homepage, or similar content flows of a major ecommerce establishment.
- Experience in Java, J2EE, Spring, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Experience with Adobe Experience Manager or similar Content Management Systems (CMS)

BenefitsThe annual base salary range is $130000 - $160000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
