Provide high‑paced software development for both internal and external projects where strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary. External projects will integrate our products and services with outside entities (vendors, clients, and other third parties). Most projects will require strong organizational skills and industry knowledge in payroll, accounting, or benefits.

• Perform software development of a variety of projects ranging from industry‑wide services to client‑specific reports and other interfacing technologies.
  • Creates development code for product modules such as Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Time Management, Human Resources, Talent Management, and Reports.
  • Creates development code that is standard for the Human Capital Management (HCM) industry.
  • Creates custom code and reports for clients as needed (e.g., EDI).
  • Creates custom code and reports for Paycom departments as needed.
  • Adjusts code after testing to address concerns.
• Partner with technology professionals such as developers, QA, and application support on software projects of all sizes.
  • Work with colleagues to enhance products by collaborating ideas.
  • Ensure code and data accuracy through QA collaboration.
  • Aid deployment and support with Application Support as needed.
  • Use project management software, issue tracking, and source control to track development specs, testing, and fixes.
  • Participate in team and project meetings to collaborate on concepts and designs.
• Collaborate with non‑technical professionals such as customer support, clients, and vendors.
  • Clarify specifications with product managers as needed.
  • Gather client feedback via customer support.
  • Clarify and test reports and EDI data with clients.
• Adhere to organizational processes and track project metrics and statuses.
  • Use JIRA to track time and meetings.
  • Collaborate with support and QA to evaluate project stages.
  • Participate in daily stand‑up meetings.
• Track communications with clients/vendors, serving as primary project contact when needed.
  • Communicate with clients/vendors to ensure satisfaction and clarify requirements.
  • Serve as point of contact for clients to discuss development needs with third parties.
