Overview
Duties include assisting victims of violent crime in assessing safety needs and lethality issues; identifying needed resources or referrals; serving as victims’ advocate with investigators, prosecutors, social services agencies, leasing agents and other entities; and providing assistance filing claims with the Office of the Attorney General, and with completion and follow-up of Crime Victims Compensation applications. This position is grant funded.
Responsibilities- Assist victims of violent crime by assessing safety needs and lethality issues.
- Identify appropriate resources or referrals and advocate for victims with investigators, prosecutors, social services agencies, leasing agents and other entities.
- Provide assistance filing claims with the Office of the Attorney General and support completion and follow-up of Crime Victims Compensation applications.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in psychology, counseling and guidance, social work or a related field; and one year relevant experience required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) translation skills are essential; must demonstrate complete mastery of oral skills in both English and Spanish. Bilingual skills testing will be required.
- Schedule may include some evening and weekend hours.

PAY GRADE GG14 / FULL PAY RANGE $21.94 - $30.94 PER HOUR
