Crescent Constructors, Inc. is currently recruiting certified Crane Operators to support heavy civil construction projects within the water, wastewater, civil, and industrial sectors. This role is responsible for safely operating hydraulic lattice boom crawler cranes and rubber tire rough terrain pickers to lift, move, and place materials in accordance with project requirements. Crane Operators must demonstrate strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively with field crews.
WhatYou'll Do
- Operate hydraulic lattice boom crawler cranes and rubber tire rough terrain picker cranes safely and efficiently
- Inspect load weights and compare with crane load charts to ensure lifts are performed within rated capacity
- Perform daily crane inspections and report any mechanical issues or required repairs
- Assist with cleaning, lubricating, and maintaining crane mechanisms such as pulleys and hoists
- Communicate with ground personnel using standard hand signals and safe communication practices
- Work closely with various crews across job sites to support lifting operations
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific requirements
- Perform general labor duties as needed
- Perform duties requiring prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking
- Minimum of 5 years of experience operating cranes
- NCCCO or NCCER crane operator certification
- Experience operating hydraulic lattice boom crawler cranes and rough terrain picker cranes
- Knowledge of crane inspection procedures and preventative maintenance requirements
- Strong understanding of OSHA crane operation requirements, including daily inspection logs and safe hoisting practices
- Ability to safely hoist, move, and place materials using appropriate rigging and attachments
- Physical ability to perform assigned crane-related tasks, including prolonged sitting, walking, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds or more
- Ability to pass a drug screen and meet the requirements of the ZCC crane operator physical
- Commitment to following all company and general safety rules, policies, and guidelines
