Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, install, and secure sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems in commercial construction projects.
- Measure, cut, and bend sheet metal to precise specifications based on blueprints and job requirements.
- Work with various duct materials, including galvanized steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Ensure proper sealing, insulation, and support of duct systems to meet industry and safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
- Operate hand and power tools, including shears, brakes, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools.
- Lead and supervise a small crew of installers, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to quality standards.
- Collaborate with other trades to ensure smooth and efficient project completion.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure compliance with local building codes and HVAC regulations.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to OSHA safety guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC sheet metal duct installation in commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork installation techniques, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Experience working with various hand and power tools used in sheet metal fabrication.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass background check.
- Familiarity with local HVAC codes and regulations.
- Experience with welding and soldering sheet metal components.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
