STAR is hiring Licensed Apprentice Helpers to work with a well‑established, full‑service design‑build electrical contractor in the Dallas Fort Worth area. This contractor is actively working on commercial new‑construction and remodel projects, offering steady work and long‑term growth opportunities.
This is an ideal role for entry‑level electricians who want hands‑on commercial experience and a clear path forward in the electrical trade.
About the Opportunity What You’ll DoAs a Licensed Apprentice Helper, you’ll support experienced electricians on active commercial job sites, including ground‑up construction and renovation projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with pulling wire for commercial power and lighting systems
- Supporting EMT conduit installation and basic pipe bending
- Installing boxes, supports, and electrical materials
- Assisting with underground layout, rough‑in, and remodel work
- Helping with trim‑out on new construction and renovation projects
- Staging materials and tools for journeymen and foremen
- Assisting with basic electrical terminations under supervision
- Following job site safety practices and NEC guidelines
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Current Texas Apprentice Electrician License required
- Entry‑level to 1+ years of commercial electrical experience preferred
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and electrical materials
- Willingness to learn conduit installation, wire pulling, and layout
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a crew
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Reliable transportation to commercial job sites
