Facility Maintenance Technician

General Maintenance Technician – Irving, TX

Base pay range: $44,300.00/yr – $63,360.00/yr

As the General Maintenance Technician, you’ll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services – uninterrupted. Based in Irving Texas, you’ll complete required PM’s and repairs on the facility equipment. In this role, you will have the ability to prioritize repairs based upon the production’s best interest.

• Performs preventive maintenance activities on facility following written instructions. PM activities include measurement of wear, replacement of expendables (i.e. belts, hoses, fluids, filters, etc.) and inspection/evaluation of operating characteristics such as speeds, pressures, vacuum, or vibration.
• Completes repairs including rebuilding of pumps, valves, electrical and pneumatic solenoid devices, and air handling equipment. Performs general building repairs, plumbing system repairs and maintenance, lighting systems repairs, and replacement of lighting components and ceiling tiles.
• Must be able to complete PM and work order activity in CMMS following guidance from MAP CMMS and Honda Leadership.
• Keeps working area neat and assists in keeping facility clean (5S & COP).

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Minimum 7 years of experience in facility/plant engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Experience with HVAC, air compressors, pumps, plumbing maintenance, basic electrical and mechanical skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of computers and software. Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Email.
• Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts including fractions, percentages, ratios and basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Understand business implications of decisions; treat people with respect; inspire trust; follow policies and procedures and support organization's goals and values.
• Experience and abiding by OSHA guidelines including Lock‑out/Tag‑out and HAZCOM guidelines; ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm in the face of the customer and subordinates.
• Ability to read and understand system blueprints, specifications, and performance data to determine configuration and purpose of system components.

• Vocational Tech, Trades School or Military Occupational Specialty preferred.

The base salary range for this position is $44,300.00 to $63,360.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
