• Read and write Spanish/English; interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position will assist customers, clean display cases, clean shelves, and handle the self‑serve displays. The role requires a variety of hours, including nights and weekends, and the ability to perform heavy lifting and long periods of bending, stooping, and kneeling. The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store;
