Para Consulting Services (PCS, LLC) is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to support quality assurance activities on a large, complex infrastructure project. This position functions strictly in a Quality Assurance (QA) capacity and focuses on verifying compliance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable standards through observation, documentation, and audit of contractor quality processes.
The role emphasizes accuracy, consistency, and professional communication while operating within a highly regulated, safety-sensitive environment. Sensitive to client governance.
Qualifications Quality Assurance Oversight- Observe construction activities to verify conformance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable standards.
- Audit the contractor’s Quality Control (QC) representative and QC plan on a daily basis for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Observe inspections and field testing activities performed by others (e.g., concrete placement, soil compaction, materials testing) and document observations.
- Identify deviations or non-conformances and generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) or Issues as required.
- Track corrective actions through documentation and confirm records of resolution.
- Prepare accurate daily QA reports documenting observations, findings, and compliance status.
- Maintain organized QA records including test reports, certifications, photographs, and correspondence.
- Utilize Microsoft Teams, Autodesk platforms, and PMIS systems for communication, reporting, and document management.
- Ensure traceability of quality-related documentation in accordance with project requirements.
- Verify compliance with applicable project specifications, codes, and standards, including:
- FAA specifications and advisory circulars
- TxDOT specifications, where applicable
- Support adherence to established quality procedures and site safety requirements.
- Remain current with applicable regulatory and quality documentation requirements.
- Participate in onsite meetings, daily huddles, and QA-related discussions as required.
- Communicate quality observations clearly, factually, and professionally.
- Work collaboratively with inspectors, engineers, and project staff while maintaining a professional and respectful jobsite presence.
- Support effective harmony management through solution-oriented communication and issue resolution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance, inspection support, or construction-related oversight roles.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Experience reviewing and auditing contractor QC documentation and processes.
- Strong attention to detail with consistent documentation practices.
- Working knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality processes.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort using digital collaboration and reporting tools.
- Aviation or airport project experience.
- Familiarity with TxDot, FAA specifications, advisory circulars, and aviation-related construction standards.
- Experience working on public infrastructure or highly regulated projects.
- PMP certification preferred or willingness to pursue.
- Familiarity with CMT testing methods.
- Ability to pass drug screening in accordance with project requirements.
- Maintain a clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Eligible for required site access and security badging.
- Ability to work primarily onsite and adapt to project schedules.
- Active, regulated project site environment.
- Requires extended periods of standing, walking, and field observation.
- Exposure to weather conditions and ongoing project activities.
