RN Oncology Nurse

Introduction:
This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000.

Job Summary & Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with department requirements and state/specialty standards. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess the patient’s condition during admission and each scheduled shift, identifying and reporting changes in patient status promptly.
  • Perform procedures, monitor, and other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care in the patient’s medical record.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and take appropriate action for unintended responses.
  • Respond promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipate patient needs, and resolve issues.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures, translating complex medical terminology into understandable terms.
Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
  • Registered Nurse license.
  • ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
