Facing cancer takes great strength and courage. It also takes an exceptional team of medical professionals who utilize the most advanced treatments and technologies while providing the highest level of compassionate care to patients each day.

The US Oncology Network is seeking a Regional Marketing Specialist to serve in a consultative, account manager capacity - advising practices within our network of more than 1,400 community-based oncologists nationwide on local marketing strategies to drive patient volumes.

This client-facing role reports to the Senior Director of Practice Growth and Marketing, managing relationships with practices, local marketing teams, physician leaders, vendors and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, and to efficiently juggle a workload in the face of shifting priorities and deadlines. Attention to detail is extremely important.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a consultative partner to practices in the designated region, analyzing local landscapes (referral and patient trends, competitive environment, market/practice dynamics) and recommending tailored marketing growth strategies for each practice.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with practice leadership, liaisons, and local marketers; meet regularly to review growth performance and provide proactive, data-driven marketing consultation.
  • Advise on overall marketing spend and strategy, including media placement costs and vendor negotiations, making recommendations rather than executing purchases.
  • Guide external communications (press releases, feature stories, byline articles), offering strategic input and recommendations to practices and marketing teams.
  • Identify and recommend methods to measure performance and return on investment (ROI) of marketing activities.
  • Project manage design work within The Network template system, collaborating with graphic designers via Workfront to deliver content for practice liaisons and marketers.
  • Advise on a portfolio of marketing services that drive new patient visits (e.g., Reputation Management, brand awareness advertising, digital strategy), focusing on strategy and recommendations rather than direct execution.
