A
General Laborer assists in plant operations including production, grinding, torch cutting, part preparation, and machine operations. Performing general labor duties, moving material, loading and unloading materials, assist with preventative and routine maintenance on plant equipment, cross train in all plant functions, follow all safety rules regulations and procedures as set forth by Company policy and other general labor duties as required.
- Remove high spots using electrical and pneumatic power tools.
- Erect ladders and scaffolding.
- Position and maneuver scissor lifts, following safety regulations with appropriate equipment.
- Hammer, chip, and grind work piece as dictated by manufacturing needs.
- Move component parts or finished goods into position, manually or by using hoist or overhead cranes.
- Assist in general maintenance of machine equipment, vehicles and warehouse.
- Prepare finished components for shipment: mark and/or tag, palletize, wrap and assist with oversize loads.
- Assist fellow production employees by performing duties as supplying or holding materials, tools and equipment.
Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Follow all safety rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by Company policy.
A proven safety record and take preventative measures to ensure a safe work environment.
Excellent attendance and be reliable/dependable.
Capability of lifting up to 50 pounds.
Availability to work reasonable amounts of overtime if required.
Capability to perform hands-on equipment maintenance.
Ability to manage priorities with minimal guidance.
Ability to analyze and prioritize information to make appropriate recommendations.
Demonstrate a positive, upbeat attitude and energy level towards teammates and peers.
Must have a TEAM PLAYER attitude and work well with co-workers.
