What you will be doingThe Central Fill Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) would be responsible for assisting with the operations of a closed-door pharmacy following all applicable laws and regulations, managing Pharmacy Technicians, Clerks, Inventory Staff, and Fulfillment Specialists. This role is suited for those who enjoy planning, organizing, and implementing improvements to workflow, team-building, and producing the best product possible. It requires leadership of a large, diverse team and comfort with technology.
The position will be based in Irving, TX and is an on-site, salaried management position.
Main responsibilities- People Leadership:
Ensure superior morale and effective management of all team member programs. - Operations:
Assist the General Manager in the selection, mentorship, training, and performance management of on-site staff to optimize production processes. - Engagement:
Develop and enhance team member engagement and empowerment to foster problem-solving and accountability in a diverse and inclusive workplace. - Safety:
Lead the safety program to ensure a safety-first working environment and culture.
- Direct efforts to ensure best-in-class service delivery and efficiency aligned with Albertsons service and compliance goals.
- Assist with acquisition of initial site licensing and serve as home state Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC).
- Responsible for ongoing compliance with applicable boards, Federal, State, Local regulations, and ACI policies.
- Understand, explain, and apply principle statutory instructions/regulations; escalate issues in a timely manner.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive training program including mandatory annual training, pharmacy SOPs, and required compliance trainings.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to manage daily operations of the Central Fill Pharmacy and drive workflow improvements that advance efficiency, customer service, and KPIs.
- Develop projects, reports, and strategies that support site goals and proactively identify production issues.
- Provide work direction, resolve issues, and set deadlines to ensure timely completion of work.
- Develop, evaluate, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for operational functions.
- Establish and maintain constructive relationships with site leaders and business leaders across Albertsons.
- Partner with selective business entities within the Albertsons family and Centralized Services teams to drive innovation and service optimization.
- Serve in a leadership role for oversight and site visits.

- B.S. or Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm
D) from an accredited College of Pharmacy required. - Hold and maintain a clean Pharmacist Licensure in Texas and Louisiana.
- Must complete all required state, federal, and company training (HIPAA, CDR, I-pledge, etc.).
- 2+ years as a previous PIC.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent oral/written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Visual requirements include clarity of vision at more than 20 inches and less than 50 feet with depth perception and field of vision.
- Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must participate on the production line floor at least 25% of a shift.
