Salary Range: $85,000 – $90,000
A leading North American risk management and third-party administration organization is seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Claims Supervisor to lead a claims unit in its Irving, TX office. This is a hands-on leadership role for a supervisor who excels in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment and enjoys developing claims professionals while delivering strong client outcomes. This position is fully onsite and requires consistent attendance.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise, mentor, and support Claims Examiners and claims support staff
Oversee claims activity to ensure compliance with Texas workers’ compensation regulations, client guidelines, and internal procedures
Review claim files, approve reserves (up to $250K) and payments (up to $10K)
Manage staffing, caseload distribution, performance evaluations, and attendance
Lead training on claims best practices, policy updates, and regulatory changes
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, claimants, vendors, and internal partners
Address escalated issues and ensure timely, professional resolution
Prepare and review client reports and participate in audits and client file reviews
Collaborate with leadership on client service initiatives and RFP support
Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED
5+ years of supervisory experience in workers’ compensation claims
Strong working knowledge of Texas workers’ compensation statutes
Experience leading claims teams in a high-volume environment
Solid understanding of medical terminology
Preferred QualificationsExperience with Texas public entity or school district claims
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
Ability to prioritize work, manage deadlines, and lead teams with varied experience levels
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Professional, office-based setting using standard office equipment
