Since 1974, Shermco has become North America's largest and fastest growing NETA-accredited electrical testing organization. Our focus is to make sure electrical power systems are functioning properly and safely. Additionally, our Professional Engineering Group, Rotating Machinery Division, Renewable Energy Services, and Field Repair and local Repair Service Centers, places Shermco in a position to handle all things electrical, all done with an emphasis on safety and client service.
We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to manage and oversee a 6 person team of territory account managers within a geographic area to drive revenue and meet company goals. Key duties include developing sales strategies, setting sales targets, mentoring and managing sales representatives, analyzing market trends, and managing the regional budget. They act as a liaison between the sales team and corporate sales leadership.
This position will require about three overnight travel days per month within the region.
- Strategic planning: Develop and implement regional sales strategies and action plans to achieve sales targets.
- Sales management: Set, monitor, and manage sales quotas and performance for individual representatives and the region as a whole.
- Team leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to maximize their performance.
- Performance analysis: Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and challenges.
- Budget management: Manage the regional sales budget, including forecasting and reporting on sales activity.
- Client relations: Maintain and build relationships with key clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing and product development, to align regional goals with company objectives.
- Reporting: Report on regional sales performance to senior management, such as directors or vice presidents.
- Electrical industrial sales experience is highly desired.
- Proven experience in sales management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage conflict.
Proficiency in sales software and basic accounting. - A bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
