• Meet daily with the Service Manager and other operations personnel to discuss filling upcoming orders and demands for equipment.
• Use repair orders to record all work performed and submit a list of equipment numbers completed each day.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local government and company standards for reliability and safety.
• Oversee shipping/receiving responsibilities, including inspecting, storing, and retrieving inventory.
• Drive and spot equipment in the yard.
• Report all costs of equipment added to the fleet.
• Be responsible for the repair and maintenance of Class 8 trailers; log hours spent on repairs.
• Fabricate and weld, custom‑design and install interiors into trailers; work in a safe manner.

• High School diploma, GED, or two years verifiable equipment maintenance related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; present information effectively and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to perform math operations in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; apply basic algebra and geometry; calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Valid driver’s license issued in the state of employment.
• Strong work ethic and desire to succeed.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Attention to detail and highly organized.
• One to two years welding experience, including fabrication of metal parts and assemblies.
• At least one year of experience performing FHWA inspections.
• At least one year of experience troubleshooting and repairing ABS.
• At least one year of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing brake components.
