Hiring an SAP Manufacturing leader to drive end to end PTM design and delivery on S/4

HANA.

Process & Solution Design

Lead fit to standard / fit gap workshops for Plan to Manufacture (forecast to MPS/MRP, MTO/ETO/MTS, REM/Discrete/PP PI).

Design and configure S/4

HANA Manufacturing (PP/PP DS) including:

Master data:
Material master, BOMs, routings/recipes, work centers/resources, Production Versions.

Capacity planning, finite scheduling, embedded PP DS heuristics/optimizers.

Shop floor execution:
Production Orders/Process Orders, confirmations, back flushing, Kanban, Repetitive Manufacturing.

Quality integration (QM in Procurement/In Process/Final, inspection plans, usage decisions).

Costing integration (CO PC), activity rates, cost collectors, variances, settlement.

Define integrations with EWM (staging, pick/pack, GI/GR), SD (ATP/aATP), MM (procurement), PM (maintenance), PS (ETO), and Finance/Controlling.

Advise on advanced planning options (SAP IBP for demand/supply/S&OP) and MES connectivity (SAP DMC, ME/MII, or third party MES).

Own Blueprint $B"*(J Configuration $B"*(J WRICEF $B"*(J Testing $B"*(J Cutover $B"*(J Hypercare.

Create functional specs for WRICEF (Workflows, Reports, Integrations, Conversions, Enhancements, Fiori apps).

Drive data strategy for PTM: data standards, cleansing, conversion (BOM, routing, work center, recipes, inspection plans, source lists).

Define authorizations (roles/profiles), Fiori catalogs for manufacturing personas.

Establish KPIs and control plans for schedule adherence, OTIF, yield, scrap, OEE (if integrated), plan stability, MRP exception backlog.

Conduct business readiness, training (Fiori apps, exceptions, MRP cockpit), and cutover rehearsals.

Partner with operations, supply chain, finance, and quality to ensure value realization and adoption.

Provide thought leadership on best practices, Fit to Standard, and SAP Activate methodology.

4–8 years of SAP experience with S/4

HANA PP / Manufacturing; at least 2 full lifecycle implementations.

Strong hands on configuration across: MRP Live, planning strategies, order types, confirmations, back flushing, Kanban/REM, capacity planning, basic PP DS, QM integration.

Practical understanding of CO PC (product costing) touchpoints and inventory valuation.

Experience with Fiori PTM apps (Monitor Material Coverage, MRP Cockpit, Manage Production Orders).

Ability to write functional designs for interfaces, forms, and reports; partner closely with technical teams.

8–15+ years in SAP Manufacturing with S/4

HANA; 3+ end to end programs including global template/rollout.

Expert in end to end Plan to Manufacture with embedded PP DS, finite capacity scheduling, multi site planning, and quality integration.

Proven track record leading design authority, integration across EWM/MM/SD/PM/PS/CO PC, and MES/DMC integration patterns.

Comfortable with SAP IBP concepts (demand, supply, response) and how they align with S/4 PTM.
