The Mid Data Engineer will join a multidisciplinary Mar Tech team focused on developing advanced data and AI solutions. The role involves designing and implementing data capabilities that enhance customer experience, support innovative user interactions, and optimize business performance. This position requires strong technical expertise, a willingness to learn new technologies, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines and platform capabilities aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Optimize existing data workflows to improve performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with senior data engineers to apply technical best practices and enhance skill development.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives with product managers, analysts, solution architects, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Support analytics efforts by developing and maintaining data infrastructure that enables actionable insights and decision-making.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into data engineering solutions.
- Stay updated on emerging data engineering technologies, tools, and best practices, contributing ideas to improve team processes.
- Follow and contribute to established data engineering standards, documentation, and processes to ensure consistency and maintainability.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a quantitative field such as Physics or Statistics.
- 3–5 years of relevant data engineering experience, including work in data modeling and analytics.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark/PySpark, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Deep understanding of data engineering concepts including database architecture, ETL processes, data lake and data warehouse design, and batch/streaming technologies.
- Experience collaborating with analytics teams and supporting metrics development and business intelligence workflows.
- Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow), data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Databricks), and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Demonstrated ability to guide or support engineering teams in a collaborative environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging with diverse audiences.
- Experience with the Databricks platform.
- Experience with CDP platforms such as High Touch.
