FinOps and Data Analytics Manager - Sr. Vice President

Key Responsibilities

• Fin Ops Strategy & Implementation:
  • Develop, implement, and mature Fin Ops capabilities and best practices across the organization.
  • Establish and manage cloud cost allocation, chargeback, and showback models.
  • Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives, identifying savings opportunities and implementing cost‑effective solutions without compromising performance or security.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and finance teams to embed Fin Ops principles into development and operational workflows.
  • Manage cloud financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Data Analytics & Reporting:
  • Lead the development and maintenance of robust data analytics solutions for cloud financial data, operational metrics, and business performance.
  • Design and build dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Utilize advanced analytical techniques to identify trends, predict future costs, and model the financial impact of architectural changes.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reporting.
  • Translate complex data insights into clear, concise, and compelling narratives for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership:
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Fin Ops and cloud financial management.
  • Educate and influence teams on cloud cost awareness and optimization strategies.
  • Foster a culture of cost accountability and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Mentor and develop team members, promoting continuous learning and professional growth.

• 5+ years of experience in Fin Ops, Cloud Financial Management, or a related role with a strong focus on data analysis.
• 10+ years of experience with major public or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their billing/cost management tools.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Excel).
• Solid understanding of SQL and experience with data warehousing concepts.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across various teams.
• Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives from conception to completion.
• Cloud cost management tools, SQL, Python (or similar), data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Openshift), data warehousing, financial modeling.
• Strategic thinking, problem‑solving, analytical mindset, leadership, communication (verbal and written), collaboration, influencing, adaptability, attention to detail, stakeholder management.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
