The Lead Software Engineer, Service Now reports directly to the Engineering Manager. As a Lead Software Engineer, Service Now, you would be responsible for leading the design, development, and evolution of enterprise‑grade Service Now solutions with a strong focus on Customer Service Management (CSM), Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD), and Enterprise Service Workflows—specifically Finance Workflows. This role requires a hands‑on architect who combines deep platform expertise, modern UX development, AI‑driven automation, and integration architecture to deliver scalable, secure, and business‑aligned Service Now solutions.

Responsibilities include working closely with the product management team to ensure we deliver the best user experiences.

Your Responsibilities On The Team
  • Own the end‑to‑end Service Now architecture across HRSD, CSM and Finance Enterprise Service Workflows.
  • Design scalable, upgrade‑safe solutions aligned with Service Now best practices and enterprise standards.
  • Lead technical design reviews and architecture governance.
  • Optimize customer experience using modern UI and AI‑assisted workflows.
  • Design seamless employee experiences using UI Builder and reusable components.
  • Ensure data security, role‑based access, and compliance.
  • Architect Finance‑specific workflows and integrate with ERP and financial systems.
  • Lead development using UI Builder and Next Experience.
  • Architect Agentic AI workflows to enable autonomous or semi‑autonomous task execution.
  • Identify opportunities where AI meaningfully reduces manual effort and improves service outcomes.
  • Lead integration strategy with CRM, ERP, HRIS, Finance, and third‑party systems.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Business leaders, product owners & enterprise architect.
  • Influence roadmap planning, platform strategy, and prioritization decisions.
  • Promote a supportive and collaborative teamwork environment across diverse groups.
  • Evaluate interdependencies; think critically and systemically when solving problems.
Requirements Core Platform Skills
  • Advanced Service Now scripting (JavaScript, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts).
  • Flow Designer and advanced workflow orchestration.
  • Performance tuning, upgrade planning, and technical debt management.

  • Strong understanding of service management, business workflows, and enterprise systems
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
