Job Summary
Citibank seeks an Applications Support Senior Manager for its Irving, Texas location.
ResponsibilitiesPlan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects. Develop UAT optimization strategy, build environment, plan data preparations, create test scenarios, execute testing, report defects and perform regression testing. Use Oracle 11g, DB2, SQL Server, Teradata, Hadoop, Netezza. Involved in database administration, data warehousing, transaction management, database maintenance strategy building, role‑based access control, data indexing and ETL. Provide technical oversight across systems and applications, manage production environment and work with business leaders.
Gather business and functional requirements, analyze impact to current applications and plan for data deliveries. Collaborate with the Chief Data Office and business users to review the requirements and conduct gap analysis. Work with development to review cross‑system integration dependencies, oversee documentation of business requirements, technical design specifications, high‑level data flow, and logical and physical architecture. Consult stakeholders on project status, proposals and various technical issues such as system design and implementation.
Analyze user needs to determine design feasibility and time and cost constraints. Determine system performance standards and manage the UAT process, building scalable automation solutions. Provide strategic direction for data validation and use ETL technologies including Hadoop. Develop automation using Ab Initio and shell scripting to meet liquidity, risk and regulatory requirements for daily and monthly submissions. Work with development to troubleshoot errors, adapt changes to hardware, upgrade interfaces, and improve performance.
Collaborate on system design and interfaces, maintain and enhance existing platforms ensuring application stability and controlled access to authorized users. Maintain immutable data stores to enable consistent reporting across domains. Establish user access management process and manage ongoing data‑level access within the application. Validate data integrity loaded in contract warehouse to ledger balances. Evaluate reporting formats, costs and security requirements to determine hardware configuration.
Monitor equipment functioning to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications. Manage projects using Agile methodology, track resource utilization, build knowledge repositories, conduct planning sessions and share delivery approaches across the team. Estimate efforts with detailed development plan and drive timely delivery of projects. A telecommuting or hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field and 6 years of progressive, post‑baccalaureate experience as a consultant, non‑production support manager, lead support engineer, software engineer, or related position involving information technology project planning, execution and management.
