Wellfit is a healthcare fintech platform simplifying financing and payment solutions for providers and patients. Our products support healthcare practices in managing treatment financing, payment arrangements, and membership plans through scalable, compliant workflows.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Product & UX Research Intern to support structured user research and usability initiatives across Wellfit's product ecosystem. This role will focus on conducting usability testing, synthesizing user feedback, and evaluating experience consistency across multiple product areas, including Financing Marketplace (FMP), Plans, and Wellfit Pay.

The intern will collaborate closely with Product Owners and cross-functional stakeholders to translate research findings into actionable recommendations that improve usability and platform cohesion. This is not observational work. The intern will own defined research cycles with measurable outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

* User Research & Testing

* Support execution of structured usability tests using platforms such as User Testing

* Assist in recruiting and screening participants by role and industry

* Observe and document user behavior, friction points, and confusion areas

* Capture qualitative and quantitative feedback

* Help define testing objectives and task scenarios

Analysis & Insights

* Synthesize findings into clear, structured insights

* Identify recurring usability patterns and pain points

* Assist in translating research into prioritized product recommendations

* Contribute to competitor and industry UX benchmarking

Experience Evaluation:

* Evaluate consistency across product areas and workflows

* Identify gaps in navigation, cohesion, and system logic

* Provide structured feedback on proposed flows and feature redesigns

* Support validation of alternative experience concepts through testing

Documentation & Communication

* Prepare concise research reports and visual summaries

* Present findings to Product and Engineering stakeholders

* Maintain organized documentation of research cycles and outcomes

What We're Looking For:

Education - Currently pursuing a degree in:
Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, Product Design, Psychology, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

Skills & Capabilities

* Strong interest in product design, user experience, or product management

* Analytical mindset with attention to detail

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to synthesize large amounts of qualitative feedback into structured insights

Nice to Have:

Familiarity with usability testing concepts (task flows, journey mapping, heatmaps)

Experience with tools such as Figma, Miro, or similar platforms

What Success Looks Like:

By the end of the internship, a successful candidate will have:

* Completed multiple structured usability testing cycles

* Delivered documented research findings with clear product recommendations

* Identified measurable usability improvements across at least one product area

* Contributed to a more consistent and unified platform experience

$18 - $20 an hour
