The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, entrepreneurial engineer who thrives on building from zero-to-one, wears multiple hats, and can move fast without sacrificing quality.

As an Innovation Catalyst, you'll be architecting and delivering production-grade systems, mentoring engineers, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible with AI. You’ll partner closely with product, sales, and customers, translating ambitious ideas into real-world systems.

The ideal candidate will be located within the DFW / Austin metro areas.

Responsibilities include:

• Architect and Build:
  Design, prototype, and deploy production-grade AI and automation systems that deliver measurable business value.
• Innovate Relentlessly:
  Explore and implement cutting-edge research in LLMs, computer vision, NLP, and cloud-native architectures.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally:
  Partner with product managers, designers, and customer teams to identify opportunities and deliver solutions that scale.
• Champion AI Adoption:
  Engage with internal teams and executive leaders to drive understanding, alignment, and adoption of AI capabilities across the organization. Translate complex technical concepts into clear, strategic value for business stakeholders.
• Mentor and Lead:
  Provide technical guidance to engineering teams; champion best practices in experimentation, rapid prototyping, and model deployment.
• Operationalize Research:
  Translate research breakthroughs into real-world applications and reusable frameworks within Presidio’s technology ecosystem.
• Deliver with Velocity:
  Work in an agile environment with a startup mindset—bias toward action, ownership, and measurable outcomes.

Required Skills and Professional Experience

• 2 to 4 years of professional software development experience.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in research or development aligned with AI or AI-oriented systems (e.g., LLMs, NLP, ML pipelines, or automation frameworks)
• Strong experience across backend and frontend stacks:
  Python, Go, Node.js, React, or Angular
• Familiarity with frameworks like Spring, Jersey, or modern MVC architectures
• Strong experience with Product and Software development lifecycle
• Familiarity in leveraging AI for software development
• Experience with containerization (Docker), Git, CI/CD, and agile tool chains (e.g., Jira)
• Ability to lead from the front in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication skills with a bias for clarity, action, and iteration
• Bonus:
  Experience in consulting or client-facing engineering roles
