Summary:

The Business Intelligence Analyst Senior is primarily responsible for Health Plan reporting application design, development, and implementation of strategic reporting architecture of Business Intelligence at the Health Plan level. This includes an understanding of methodology, design, specifications, programming, delivery, monitoring, and support standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, code, and develop SQL logic to pull data that meets specifications for the end user.
  • Responsible for data mining and turning raw data into logical information for reports, dashboards, and tools.
  • Manage individual intake requests across business units; track and monitor work to ensure critical milestones are met, identify and report/escalate risks to management appropriately, and manage stakeholder relations.
  • Support incident, problem, request, and change management following ITIL best practices.
  • Assist junior team members and provide quality support to internal and external users with a focus on customer service and timeliness.
  • Create and maintain reporting solutions in Microstrategy, SSRS, and SAS projects, dashboards, reports, and mobile solutions.

Education

Essential level:
Bachelor's Degree.

Experience required with Power BI, SQL and SAS, and healthcare industry experience.

Minimum Qualifications

The Health Plan Report Developer III must have proven competency in designing and developing complex reporting projects using highly normalized & denormalized data structure. Responsibilities include supporting the business goals and objectives for the Department, Information Management Organization, and the Health Plan.

This role works closely with Health Plan directors, managers, application users, and other IM teams regarding reporting, process documentation, business requirements analysis, and development of ad hoc and standard reports.

Experience in incident, problem, and change management following ITIL best practices is required. Proficiency in Microstrategy, SSRS, and SAS, and ability to create dashboards and reports in Power BI are essential.
