Dental biller will be responsible for all billing of dental claims electronically and correspondence via mail.

Responsibilities
  • Print claims daily.
  • Request any additional information that is needed from the office in order to send out claims for payment.
  • Send out claims and document billing notes.
  • Process requests via email from offices in the field.
  • Print electronic claims reports and make any corrections that are needed in order for claims to be sent electronically. Request any additional information from office that is needed to make these corrections.
  • Send out all re-submittals.
  • Bill all lab claims with attached lab slips.
  • Run weekly reports for unbilled insurances.
  • Process attachments through NEA.
  • Work with your Auditor and Claim tracer in processing claims.
  • Provides customer service to the affiliated dental practices of PDS, through the call center, as well as email.
  • Maintains an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with Company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, as well as State, Federal and other regulatory bodies.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Required
  • Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum 2 year experience in a dental setting only, medical billing not applicable.
Preferred
  • EPIC knowledge.
  • Associate, Bachelor’s Degree or one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Customer Service Certificate program helpful, but not required.

  • Ability to multi-task effectively without compromising the quality of the work.

  • Ability to draw conclusions and make independent decisions with limited information.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers, staff, regulatory agencies, vendors, and other members of the business community.
  • Self-motivated, reliable individual capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Problem solving skills to gather & analyze information in order to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action.
  • Analytical skills to synthesize complex or diverse information. Ability to research information and analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action.
  • Actively share ideas in a constructive and positive manner by listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others.

Compensation Information

$18.60-$24.40 / Hourly
