Pate Rehabilitation, an affiliate of Rehab Without Walls, is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Dallas, TX. This role is integral to patient care, supporting a dedicated PT team and providing therapeutic interventions.
OverviewAs a PTA, you will assist patients in exercise, ambulation, and functional activities, apply assistive devices, and help the Physical Therapist execute evaluations and complex procedures. You will educate patients, families, and other health workers, maintain thorough documentation, and participate in program development.
Responsibilities- Assist patients in exercise, ambulation, functional activities, and the application/use of assistive devices in accordance with the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist
- Assist Physical Therapist in the execution of patient evaluations and complex treatment procedures
- Educate patients, families, and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by Physical Therapist
- Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided
- Maintain working knowledge of the Physical Therapy Practice Act and Code of Ethics
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university
- License to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Texas
