Mammo Tech 2 PRN
Baylor Scott & White Health
LocationBaylor Medical Center – Irving, Texas
ShiftPRN role – 8‑hour shifts (about 3 days a week, roughly 24 hours a week). Prefer 8:00–16:30 but flexible; one Saturday each month or every other month 8:00–14:00. Most help needed on Mondays and Fridays.

The Mammography Technologist II performs advanced breast imaging procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients, under general supervision of a radiologist.
Essential Functions- Perform high‑quality breast imaging procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner.
- Utilize AIDET when communicating with patients: identify service requirements, ensure correct exam on correct patient, establish rapport.
- Prepare patient and area for procedure: positioning, adjusting devices, setting exposure factors.
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to safety, infection‑control, drug and radiation policies.
- Maintain equipment and work area quality; collaborate with engineers and physicists; report issues; assist in inventory.
- Ensure safety by screening personnel per approved policies.
- Obtain, verify, and maintain all relevant documentation (requisitions, chart, history, pregnancy status, shielding precautions, consent forms).
- Maintain medical imaging records in appropriate system and per department policies.
- Perform high‑quality breast imaging, including stereotactic biopsies, needle localization, ultrasound‑guided biopsies.
- Explain procedures and put patients at ease.
- Provide services in a timely, accurate, cost‑efficient manner, complying with system and regulatory standards.
- Work autonomously without routine oversight.
- Maintain calm and helpful attitude under stress.
- Administer first aid and use emergency cart.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by limiting wait times, providing courteous service, reviewing patient satisfaction scores, developing action plans.
- Maintain current knowledge and continued education for all age groups.
- Serve as preceptor, training new team members on new services and initiatives.
- Take call, if required.
