Occupational Therapist (185 Days) - ( RTP )

• Provides ongoing Occupational Therapy services to IEP recommendations and as directed by the supervising occupational therapist, including gathering of information and equipment/materials for OT evaluation, consulting with and training educational staff related to OT interventions, delivery/placement, utilization, and maintenance of equipment and materials required for OT services and provision of direct OT services.
• Maintains a system of documentation that is professional, efficient, and accountable, and that conforms to district policy
• Maintains and is accountable for therapy program inventory
• Provide ongoing training of school staff related to specific tasks that support occupational therapy goals and objectives for the program to achieve established goals and objectives
• Participate in program development activities as directed by the lead therapist
• Perform all duties related to the Title II grant at 100%
• Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned

• Associate of Applied Science Degree from an accredited university; valid Texas license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.
• Successful completion of formal school based pediatric affiliation or alternate pediatric experience
• Evidence of participation in continuing education within the scope of pediatric school-based practice
• Knowledge regarding federal and state regulations related to the provision of occupational therapy services in the school setting
• Demonstrated competencies in pediatric occupational therapy service delivery in education setting
• Demonstrated strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
