Responsibilities- The Physical Therapist serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team for Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Las Colinas.
- The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating, planning and implementing interventions for hospitalized patients according to age specific needs.
- The Physical Therapist assesses the needs and is familiar with the status of their assigned patients’ on the department’s service.
- The Physical Therapist reviews with the patient and caregiver the current diagnosis, prognosis and treatment goals while planning and implementing a safe and timely treatment plan.
- The Physical Therapist works as part of a team in association with the patient’s physician, the department Director and other members of the interdisciplinary team to assure timely, safe and cost-effective therapy is being delivered.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Program, MS (PT) required, DPT preferred.
- Licensure: Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners; BLS.
- Required Experience: Minimum of 1-year Physical Therapy experience in a hospital setting.
