Responsibilities

  • Approve and process purchase orders for equipment, supplies and services.
  • Work with City departments to prepare specifications for the bidding process.
  • Issue solicitations through the Ion Wave bidding platform.
  • Conduct pre‑bid conferences with vendors and City department managers to obtain and furnish crucial information.
  • Prepare bid addenda as necessary.
  • Prepare bid tabulations and assist City departments in evaluating vendor responses.
  • Generate bid recommendation items for presentation to the City Council.
  • Assist City departments with Cooperative purchases as appropriate.
  • Assist City departments in understanding purchasing policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in purchasing, public administration, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Two years of experience in purchasing or bid preparation/evaluation required.
  • Prior experience with MUNIS Enterprise Resource Planning software and/or a computerized bidding platform beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint required.
Pay

PAY GRADE GG22 / FULL PAY RANGE $5,634 - $7,939 PER MONTH
