Responsibilities
- Approve and process purchase orders for equipment, supplies and services.
- Work with City departments to prepare specifications for the bidding process.
- Issue solicitations through the Ion Wave bidding platform.
- Conduct pre‑bid conferences with vendors and City department managers to obtain and furnish crucial information.
- Prepare bid addenda as necessary.
- Prepare bid tabulations and assist City departments in evaluating vendor responses.
- Generate bid recommendation items for presentation to the City Council.
- Assist City departments with Cooperative purchases as appropriate.
- Assist City departments in understanding purchasing policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in purchasing, public administration, business, or a related field preferred.
- Two years of experience in purchasing or bid preparation/evaluation required.
- Prior experience with MUNIS Enterprise Resource Planning software and/or a computerized bidding platform beneficial.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint required.
PAY GRADE GG22 / FULL PAY RANGE $5,634 - $7,939 PER MONTH
