The Corporate Audit Services Staff Auditor is responsible for executing internal audit activities under the direction of the lead auditor and/or primary audit manager. Duties include planning projects, developing risk‑based audit programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, identifying gaps, and suggesting solutions that minimize losses from inadequate processes, systems, or human errors. The role serves as a functional liaison between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense, identifying controls, performing control testing, and documenting work in accordance with internal audit policies and procedures.
BasicQualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Two to three years of applicable experience
- Thorough knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact the assigned line of business
- Understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
- Knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
- Process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer navigation skills using Microsoft Office and other common software packages (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations)
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

Salary RangePay Range: $71,400.00 – $84,000.00. The actual range may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, 401(k) contribution and pension (subject to eligibility).
