Job SummaryThe Impound Specialist I will be responsible for monitoring, reviewing and processing required functions in accordance to Impound requirements and timeliness. The Impound Specialist I will process Impound accounts and functions in accordance to regulations, policies, procedures with responsibilities including, but not limited to, reviewing accounts identified as potential impound, performing appropriate calculations for recovery justifications or abandonment, processing accounts into and closing impound as well as reviewing and processing accounts appropriately based on verbal and written notifications of Impound.
Communication requirements include but are not limited to customers, recovery agents, impound facilities, and police departments. restrictions, requirements, policy and procedures.
Handle and process assigned volume within Impound processes for appropriate handling within established SLA.
Service Potential and Actual Impound calls within established call handling and correspondence requirements.
Complete end to end Impound functions with accuracy and in compliance with regulations, policy and procedure.
Assist other departments as well as Impound vendors as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Work ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent.
One (1) year of experience in servicing center environment.
Experience in Impound processes preferred.
Knowledge of Impound process, regulations, requirements and structure preferred.
General knowledge of collections policies and procedures and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
Established verbal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Adaptable to changes within a face paced environment.
