The Senior Manager of Finance will support our operations team, overseeing many financial matters pertaining to operational functions. This entails ensuring strategic alignment and economic stability throughout the organization. This position aims to optimize shareholder value by emphasizing operational excellence and financial efficiency.

Your Mission in Motion
  • Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to multiple operational departments, collaborating closely with operational leaders to drive financial performance and efficiency across the driver, line haul, and sortation labor teams.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support operational objectives and optimize resource allocation.
  • Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process for operations, working closely with department heads to develop realistic and actionable financial plans.
  • Monitor and analyze key financial and operational metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve performance and mitigate risks.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives within the Operations Support function, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls within the operations function, working closely with the finance and compliance teams.
  • Build financial reporting and analysis for operational activities, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and ad-hoc reporting as required.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives to support strategic initiatives and business growth, collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and performance within the operations team.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in finance and operations, applying knowledge to drive innovation and improvement initiatives.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. Experience with workforce management or logistics software is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, independently, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and innovation.
