Responsibilities
- Creating and updating datasets within the city’s Geographic Information System (GIS)
- Performing data analysis, creating ArcGIS map services and custom web applications to produce maps, presentations, reports and spreadsheets for internal and external customers
- Performing survey work in the field (as-built location or verification of utilities, assets and features) using GPS survey equipment and software to collect and download digital data
- Supporting end-users of geospatial data
- Two years of experience with GIS systems and GPS equipment
- Bachelor’s degree, or additional experience comparable to degree, in Geographic Sciences or a closely related field
- Experience in municipal government GIS preferred
- Experience in Public Works use of GIS preferred
- Experience in geometric networks preferred
- Knowledge of ESRI GIS software and GPS equipment
- Knowledge of Cityworks Asset Maintenance Management software preferred
- Experience with Cartegraph Asset Management Software preferred
- Experience with Python programming preferred
Experience with MS SQL Server preferred - Must have, or obtain, an appropriate Texas driver’s license

PAY GRADE IT22 / FULL PAY RANGE $6,192 – $8,729 PER MONTH
