Job DescriptionJob Summary:
The Pipeline Engineer is responsible for supporting operations, capital and maintenance projects and asset integrity.
Essential Job Functions :
- Manage pipelines and terminals capital and major maintenance projects, including front end engineering, procurement, construction management, project documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Support mechanical integrity programs such as API 653 tank inspections/repairs, API facility piping inspections/repairs, pipeline smart pig runs and corrosion control programs.
- Provide in-house engineering support to operations, including optimization and reliability.
- Drive safety and mechanical integrity culture.
- BS Engineering degree is required;
Mechanical Engineering is preferred. - 5+ years of industry experience in an engineering/project management capacity.
- Knowledge of ASME B31.4, API 650/653, 49
CFR 195 and EPA Air and Water regulations pertaining to pipelines and terminals. - Pipeline and terminals construction experience.
- Knowledge of pipelines, pumps, tanks, hydraulics, mechanical integrity/reliability principles, corrosion control, measurement and asset inspections.
- Must be able to read, write, understand and speak the English language.
- Ability to abide by all DOT rules and regulations.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, manuals and reports.
- Consistently demonstrates cooperative, team-oriented behavior.
- Attention to detail to process all documentation to the proper party.
- Ability to measure and analyze performance, resolve issues and identify and communicate to management incremental opportunity.
- Process all electronic and paper documentation within times identified.
