About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commissioning Specialist I to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the successful commissioning of complex mechanical and electrical systems for a wide range of projects. You'll collaborate closely with project teams, ensure high-quality execution of commissioning activities, and play a key role in delivering top-tier technical solutions to our clients.

Professional Qualifications
- 1-15 years of hands-on experience in mechanical system design, operation, or commissioning.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Sciences. OR formal technical training in mechanical system design/operation/commissioning.
- Professional accreditations preferred:
BCxP, CxA, CBCP, CEM, LEED AP
. - Commitment to ongoing professional development through annual seminars, training sessions, and industry programs.
Commissioning Planning & Execution
- Define commissioning scope and develop fee estimates for large-scale project RFPs.
- Create preliminary Commissioning Plans and Pre-Functional Checklists for project use.
- Develop Functional Test Procedures (FTPs) in coordination with your direct supervisor.
- Support project teams by coordinating and scheduling commissioning activities.
- Participate in regular project meetings and ensure technical alignment with stakeholders.
- Witness and document FTP executions; develop punchlists based on findings.
- Assist project teams in resolving punchlist items and addressing client concerns.
- Monitor project budgets and notify management promptly when scope changes arise.
- Prepare and issue the Final Commissioning Plan Report with supervisor support.
- Assist in developing departmental standards and process improvements.
- Support client satisfaction initiatives through clear communication and timely action.
- Participate in business development activities, presentations, and relationship-building efforts.
- Contribute to special projects and organizational initiatives as assigned.
- Strong understanding of building mechanical and/or electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently on technical matters and serve as a key team member on larger projects.
- Proficiency with commissioning documentation platforms like Facility Grid
. - Working knowledge of LEED accreditation process and ability to support LEED commissioning goals.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with a wide range of testing tools, instruments, and industry standards/codes.
