Job Summary
Assists the Project Engineer with being the technical source of information for the project. Responds to questions about drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and change orders and has responsibility for assisting in writing change orders, RFl's, meeting minutes, and reviewing submittals. Maintains an effective and professional working relationship with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. The position includes three steps (I, II, Senior) corresponding to skill and experience levels.
Key Responsibilities- Assists Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as‑built drawings and coordinate submittals, change orders, RFl's, and budget forecasting.
- Generates, collects, distributes, stores, retrieves, and disposes meeting agendas, RFl's, and daily reports.
- Supports and executes the project management plan (PMP) and oversees change management and project scope activities.
- Administers the project quality management plan and promotes a culture of safety.
- Calculates daily production rates and unit costs for self‑performed work; participates in risk management and environmental control processes.
- Manages BIM coordination between subcontractors and designers.
- Documents and submits for LEED certification; creates and updates Digital Record Drawings (ORD).
- Provides lines, grades, and layout; maintains an organized log book.
- Produces weekly quantity logs and reports, supports budgeting and cost control.
- Supports superintendents and resolves field problems as needed.
Job Requirements
- Ability to assume responsibility, interface, and communicate with others.
- Entry‑level position normally requiring a four‑year construction‑related degree or equivalent technical/field experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Reach, stoop, kneel, bend, lift, push or pull objects on a frequent or occasional basis.
- Use telephone, computer, email, and other electronic devices.
- Comply with all safety standards and procedures.
- May climb stairs, ladders, etc.; sit, stand, walk during shift.
