Overview
The Business Development Analyst is responsible for supporting the business development team in supporting deals to close, financial forecasting, reporting, and operations metrics tracking.
Responsibilities- Supports the Business Development leaders in evaluating potential acquisitions.
- Supports the corporate transition team prior to and following acquisitions.
- Works closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Analyzes past results, performs variance analysis, identifies trends, and makes recommendations for improvements.
- Evaluates financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Aids in the capital budgeting and expenditure planning processes.
- Identifies and drives process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
- Increases productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
- Performs market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps.
- Maintains a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.
- Provides analysis of trends and forecasts and recommends actions for optimization.
- Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses.
- Studies proposed changes in methods and materials.
- Accepts special projects and other responsibilities ad hoc.
- Must be able to perform all job functions satisfactorily.
- Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to fellow co-workers, executive leadership and Doctors.
- High proficiency in financial modeling techniques.
- Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions.
- Strong data gathering skills and quantitative and analytical competency.
- Self-starter with excellent problem solving and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently.
- Bachelor’s Degree in field such as Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar required.
- 2+ years of business finance or other relevant experience required. 5+ years of relevant previous experience strongly preferred.
- MBAs, CPAs and CFAs strongly preferred.
- Experience working with and presenting to senior executives.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Compensation for this role may be +/- based on individual candidate qualifications and experience.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods.
- Occasional lifting and bending to carry boxes and supplies, up to 25 pounds, may be required.
