Senior Accountant

Irving, TX – hybrid, 3 days onsite

One of Vaco’s multilocation healthcare clients is looking to add a Senior Accountant to the team due to growth. The company is growing rapidly via acquisition (2-4 transactions/month) and offers lots of opportunity for promotion (current Manager started as a Senior, promoted twice). Due to the structure of the accounting department, they need folks with full cycle accounting in a multi-location/entity environment.

Compensation: $95K + Bonus

• Own the full-cycle accounting process, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and month-end close
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multi-location operations
• Manage intercompany transactions, allocations, and eliminations across entities and locations
• Ensure accurate revenue and expense recognition in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with FP&A and operations
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and process documentation
• Assist with audit, tax, and regulatory compliance, serving as a key point of contact for external auditors
• Analyze operational and location-level financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Support system implementations, integrations, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability
• Mentor junior accounting staff and provide review and guidance as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA-track preferred)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting
• Proven experience supporting multi-location or multi-entity organizations
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
