Staff Accountant - Irving, TX - Hybrid

LHH is currently searching the market for a Staff Accountant to support a high-performing finance team within a well-established industrial organization. This company operates across several lines of business and is currently expanding its capabilities following the implementation of a new transactional system. The ideal candidate will bring a solid accounting foundation, strong technical proficiency with large data sets, and a collaborative mindset.

This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional to work closely with plant operations and gain exposure to a dynamic Fortune 500 manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day accounting support for the recycling division
• Prepare and record journal entries, including month-end close activities
• Complete revenue recognition and hedge accounting entries
• Review cost accounting reports and prepare related journal entries
• Conduct account reconciliations and in-depth account analysis
• Manage and analyze large sets of financial and operational data
• Collaborate with plant teams to resolve accounting and reporting issues
• Liaise with departments such as Treasury, Internal Audit, Tax, and Financial Reporting
• Participate in special projects and continuous improvement efforts

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3–5 years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of US GAAP
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Proven ability to manage and analyze large volumes of data accurately
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with SAP, BPC, Alteryx, or Power BI is a plus
