Senior Sales & Use Tax Analyst with a $1B+ privately‑held industry leader.
Responsibilities- Assist with multi-state sales tax compliance
- Assist with sales tax audits
- Prepare inter-company reconciliations and account reconciliations
- Assist with maintenance of in-house tax systems, specifically Avalara Tax software
- Assist with field responses including research of taxability related to various scenarios
- Assist as needed with business license, unclaimed property, and personal property tax matters
- Research and maintain a working knowledge of state sales and tax developments
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization and provide assistance as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. Master’s degree in Taxation or CPA certification is a plus
- 5+ years of multi-state sales and use tax compliance experience, either with public accounting firms or large corporations
- Proficiency in Avalara Tax software is a plus
- Microsoft Access or SQL database programming experience is a plus
- Intermediate/advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and Word
