Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Catering Supervisor based at Ayrshire Central Hospital.

What you will do:

You will be responsible for the daily preparation and production of food for patients, staff, visitors and Adhoc functions in a manner that reflects high standards of culinary practice. You will oversee economic use of catering provisions, materials and all resources. You will be responsible for the direct supervision of all catering staff.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

Good communication is essential as you will communicate at various levels on a daily basis relating to service requirements e.g. staff issues, nursing staff, clinicians, managers, public visitors.

You must be numerate/literate for the daily checking and completion of all relevant department records for compliance.

You will have the ability to use your own initiative to make basic decisions regarding workload priorities.

You will oversee economic use of catering provisions, materials and all resources.

You will be responsible for the direct supervision of all catering staff.

A degree of flexibility is essential as the catering department operates between the hours of 0630 until 2100 daily.

Hours:

19 hours per week

Shift Pattern:

07.45 - 13.45 - 7 days on & 7 days off
