The Administrator - LA Warehouse (Air Logistics) position is responsible for all duties related to inbound and outbound Air Freight Forwarding operations, supervising, and troubleshooting for the West Coast SCM team. This role includes supervising the loading and unloading of cargo, checking quantities, damages, and cargo accuracy, etc., to expedite air cargo transport to and from overseas. This position will support weekly and monthly closing reports, monitor all AR and AP, and assist various projects as required as well as develop logistics solutions.
Responsibilities- Provide general 3PL operations such as Inbound, Outbound, In-land, and Warehouse/Distribution operation services
- Coordinate the exportation of goods by air, including scheduling with airlines and managing the movements of goods through various transportation channels
- Ensure all bookings are accurate and updated accordingly
- Prepare all necessary shipping documentation related to international bookings and process all import/export documentation to clearing agents, including HAWB's, MAWB's, AES's, manifest, shipping instructions, hazardous cargo declarations, bills of ladings, and Certificate of Origin
- Dispatch pick-ups to authorized agents and drayage companies, shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies, clearing agents, warehouses, and other parties involved in the shipment
- Coordinate and monitor transportation of cargo with customers and assist with documentation, inland deliveries, and customs-related operations
- Analyze inbound/outbound shipment volumes by managing daily ETA and tracking reports, track order statuses, and support relief of supply chain interruptions
- Daily coordination with customer inquiries
- Monitor and support all cargo moves
- Coordinate urgent cargo deliveries to ensure production lines for customers
- Work with operations, customers, and truckers to minimize unnecessary costs
- Update Genisys and related systems (e.g., IATA, TSA) as applicable
- Manage airline storage charges
- Provide tracing reports to customers to prevent/minimize cost
- Manage damaged cargo for filing claims to airlines
- Coordinate internal/external communication to enhance operations
- Coordinate with various departments
- Implement corrective actions such as additional banding or wrapping on outside of cargo when needed
- Support outbound logistics team and customs for timely completion of urgent delivery orders
- Other duties as assigned
$68,000-$80,000 annually (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
