Job Information- Title: Dispatcher – Full Time
- Location: Irvine, CA
- Hours: Monday‑Friday 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM
- Compensation: $26–$28 per hour
- Travel: Minimal (1‑10%)
The dispatcher plays a central role in ensuring safe, efficient street sweeping operations. Typical responsibilities include:
- Monitor driver logs for errors, violations, and working hours
- Flag potential weather‑related issues for drivers
- Ensure DOT compliance
- Analyze and plan efficient routes to meet customer needs cost‑effectively
- Review daily work orders and deploy resources
- Track progress, process orders, and address concerns
- Monitor equipment availability
- Validate completed services for accuracy
- Provide records to support invoicing
- Use Excel and routing software for scheduling and verification
- Answer calls and provide dispatch instructions as needed
- Communicate progress and resolve driver issues
- Maintain operational and compliance records
- Use judgment and elevate issues when necessary
- Identify ways to optimize routing and service delivery
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Education: High School diploma or GED
- Experience: 1–2 years dispatch experience; waste and recycling services experience preferred
- Age: Minimum 18 years old
- Compliance: Must successfully pass background check and drug screening in accordance with company policy and applicable law
- Operational planning and execution
- Strong communication and customer service
- Problem solving and decision making under pressure
