Transportation Logistics, Transportation Manager
Position: Associate level in Procurement, Logistics, and Sales Operations. Supports purchasing materials for residential business projects and manages all aspects of shipping and delivery to job sites. Based in Irvine, CA; 10% domestic/international travel.
Responsibilities- Monitor shipment status and check invoices to request payment to vendors.
- Review Bill of Material with engineering teams for projects.
- Place purchasing orders with vendors and monitor PO status to follow up on projects.
- Coordinate schedule with fulfillment team and arrange project delivery to job sites to meet installation.
- Ensure goods are shipped in the most timely and efficient manner according to documented processes, including planning transportation routes, selecting mode of transportation, and tracking shipment from pick‑up through delivery while targeting cost reduction, freight savings, service, and contractual requirements.
- Understand general shipping procedures and documentation.
- Continuously track and trace all inbound/outbound shipments, including daily organization and saving of commercial shipping documents onto our database.
- Update daily PO tracking spreadsheet, including PO, delivery, and invoice.
- Interact efficiently with vendors and internal teams, maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Adhere to existing logistics processes and apply industry and organizational best practices.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree + 1–3 years of experience in a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in procurement and/or supply chain/logistics.
- Possession of a valid passport and ability to travel overseas without difficulty.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects, issues, and activities.
- Strong interpersonal, implementation, and facilitation skills.
- Strong, self‑motivated team player.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
