Summary
The Analyst - Parts Logistics will be responsible for supporting, planning, organizing, evaluating and reporting all activities associated to Parts Distribution business. Some tasks include daily monitoring, analyzing relevant data, formulating reports, developing presentations, supporting with selecting and managing carriers, prepare network optimization studies, develop and monitor annual business plan as related to parts distribution and report relevant KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Support daily operations as related to Parts Distribution
- Requires daily support with communication and direct operations with all issues
- Assist in financial and operational due diligence, when applicable, by collecting and analyzing financial and operational data
- Prepare analysis, projections, and forecasts as they relate to Parts Distribution
- Collect historical data, and research/consider trends (from an Internet source or target company's internal systems) to develop a reasonable forecast
- Process claims (Shortage and Damage) for all types of transportation modes: FTL, LTL, DDS
- Monitor, report, and resolve daily billing activities and prepare monthly forecast and accruals as needed
- Monitor collections and payments (AR/AP)
- Formulate project reports as requested by Finance and/or Operations departments
- Prepare analysis, projections, and forecasts as they relate to Parts Distribution and/or potential new business
- Assist with all business activities with EDI and manual invoicing
- Assist month end updates, billings, aging management, and monthly accruals
- Effectively communicate with Management of on business, current statuses, issues, and resolutions to provide better customer service and any other assignments related to department
- Assist and develop KPI to measure the effectiveness of the carriers/service providers
- Assist, develop, issue, maintain, and analyze RFQ responses from carriers/service providers as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Compensation Range
$52,000 - $56,000 annually (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Skills
- Experiences with computer database management systems Required
- Strong communication, critical thinking, planning, and organizational skills Required
- Advance PC skills:
Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database management Required - Ability to logically and systematically work through problems Required
- Must possess necessary interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with different departments along with current customers Required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred
- SAP experience Preferred
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- 1 - 2 Years of related experience in Transportation and/or Logistics Required
- 3 - 5 Years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, and/or previous working knowledge of parts or vehicle distribution in the automotive industry Preferred
- Hazmat Training CFR
49 Certification or License Preferred
