Overview
The City of Irvine seeks experienced individuals to monitor the use of swimming pools and facilities, perform rescues of persons in distress, assist with daily facility operations, camps, recreation programs and special events, and coordinate and teach swim and water safety lessons. Part-time positions with flexible scheduling are during the core hours of Monday-Sunday, 5:15 a.m.–10:30 p.m.
Responsibilities- Monitor the use of swimming pools and facilities.
- Perform rescues of persons in distress.
- Assist with daily facility operations, camps, recreation programs, and special events.
- Coordinate and teach swim and water safety lessons.
- Support seasonal operations as needed.
- Part-time Lifeguard: at least 15 years old.
- Part-time Senior Lifeguard/Swim Instructor: at least 16 years old.
- Interest in aquatics or recreation and some experience working with children.
- Multiple Part-time positions available.
Lifeguard: $21.02 - $24.45 per hour
Sr. Lifeguard/ Swim Instructor: $22.09 - $29.02 per hour
