Senior Software Engineer – AI Compiler & Runtime Infrastructure

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software engineer to lead the development of our AI compiler stack and runtime systems. In this role, you will architect, implement and optimize compiler passes, schedulers and runtime engines that transform high level programs into high performance code for our custom hardware.

• Design and implement core compiler components, including IR transformations, optimization passes, and backend code generation.
• Build and optimize runtime systems like task schedulers, resource managers, and execution engines.
• Collaborate with hardware architects to define ABI, scheduling strategies, and performance targets.
• Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks using profiling and benchmarking tools.
• Own features end-to-end, from design through validation and documentation.
• Influence long-term compiler and runtime architecture.
• Lead design reviews and technical discussions.
• Mentor and guide engineers on best practices in systems programming and compiler design.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• At least 7 years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on compilers and/or runtime systems.
• Expert in C/C++ and experience with Python for tooling and automation is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of compiler internals, including IR, optimization passes and code generation.
• Solid experience designing runtime systems and task schedulers.
• Track record of delivering production-quality systems software with measurable performance impact.
• Hands on experience with MLIR, IREE, LLVM, or similar compiler frameworks.
• Experience building schedulers and execution engines for specialized hardware accelerators.
• Proficiency with profiling tools and performance analysis techniques.
• Contributions to open source projects or publications in relevant areas.
