Build the Feature Flags & Experimentation platform (A/B testing) for The Trade Desk. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather experimentation requirements and develop scalable solutions iteratively. Lead the designing for the Experimentation Platform including the integration with various business-critical applications. Develop and operate high scale data products with a focus on trustworthiness of analyzed data, and debuggability/actionability for feature teams and platform reliability.

Engineer sophisticated data pipelines using Airflow and Spark, with focus on performance, costs and data integrity. Collaborate with Data Scientist and drive the development of advanced statistical techniques and data pipelines to reduce the experiment cycle times and maintain trust in experiment data. Drive complex changes involving multiple components and complex systems run by other software engineers.

• Minimum
  
  Education and Experience:
  
  Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or related role OR Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related role.

  Must have five (5) years of experience with model languages on C# or Java.
• Systems
  
  Experience:
  
  Must have three (3) years of experience with large scale distributed system coordinating thousands of servers across the cloud; building & maintaining performance critical system with high quality and long term maintainability; building feature flags/AB testing platform as well as analytics data pipeline with petabyte of data; and leading and completing projects with a high degree of technical ambiguity that involves cross team collaborations.

In accordance with CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
