ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities: The Human Factors R&D Co-Op will assist in user research activities to gather data on user needs, behaviors, and limitations.
Support task analysis
, use specification
, and risk assessments to identify use-related hazards.Participate in formative evaluations and usability studies at various stages of product development.
Help prepare human factors documentation (plans, protocols, reports) in compliance with FDA and IEC 62366 guidelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical) to incorporate human factors into design controls.
Contribute to design recommendations by applying ergonomic and usability principles to hardware and software interfaces.
Assist in analyzing study data and summarizing findings to inform design decisions.
Use MATLAB or similar data analysis software to clean up and document physiological studies e.g. EMG evaluations

Required & Preferred SkillsThe anticipated base pay range for this position is: $31.00/hr to $59.00/hr
Pay Transparency
:
The expected pay range for this position is between $31.00 per hour and $59.00 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year;
for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension).
